One of the most important things in starting an exercise programs is to participate in activities you enjoy. Personally, I hate running, and occasionally I'll try it. The effort only lasts a day or two, because in the end, I just don't like running! So, choose something that is fun for you. Find people that enjoy the same thing, and push each other to succeed.
