Getting up Earlier ... Every Day
For me this represents 5 AM, it will be other times for other people. But the process and challenge will be similar for everybody.
So if you are a late sleeper, and want to try to change that, join us for the next 30 days!
Daily Meditation
The goal for this month is daily meditation. Not long, drawn out four hour sessions. The baseline is 10 minutes a day, which should be doable for just about anybody. So log in, tune in, and get better!
Exercising
Need to get in shape? Want more energy throughout the day? Let's find out what impact exercise will have in our lives. This Change requires a minimum of four days a week of exercise for atleast 30 minutes. Commit to this change and let us know how you are doing.
Laugh a little . . .
So it's not like I am Serious Sally (well, maybe a little), I just am not inclined to laugh out loud. I recognize when things are funny and will often think to myself, "That is really funny!", but, I just don't give up the chuckle. I recently read an article (see "Tips") indicating that laughing is actually healthy for me. Maybe it is, maybe not. Either way, I'm going to give laughing a try. At least once each day for thirty days I am going to laugh OUT LOUD. Might be easy for some of you . . . I hope it's going to be fun. At the end of 30 days, perhaps I will have become a little bit more of a light-hearted individual who can find humor more readily. Come, laugh with me.
Reduce Sweets
Would you like to reduce sweets in your diet? This would include chocolate, candy, desserts, etc. This will be different for everyone. For those who currently eat a lot of sweets, it could be just reducing how much you eat per day. If you don't eat many sweets, you could try eliminating them altogether. Commit to this change and let us know if it affects you in a goody way.
Eliminate Soda Pop
The goal of this "Change" is to replace Soda Pop with Water. This isn't a reduction, but an elimination of Soda. Personally, I have never been much of a Pop drinker, but I feel much more sluggish when I do drink Pop. Give this one a try and let me know if you benefit from it.
Read Professional Text Daily
The goal is to become more knowledgeable in your profession, by reading a book or some other text about the subject on a daily basis. The target time is 10 minutes, and should be spent outside of your work time. 10 minutes isn't very long, so join with me in this "Change" and let us know how it affects your professional life.
Read Religious Text Daily
Join this "Change" and read at least 15 minutes a day of your chosen religious text. It doesn't matter what religion you believe in, the effects should be the same. Please write in your journal and let us know how this is affecting your life!
